Umbrella Insurance

Protect Everything with Umbrella Insurance

Extra Liability Protection

If you're sued for any reason, a standard homeowners' or automotive policy will provide you with some liability coverage. However, you may want to consider an additional layer of liability protection. Forsythe Insurance Services will help you find the right personal umbrella liability policy to give you extra protection.

What is an Umbrella Policy?

An umbrella policy kicks in when you've reached your limit on the underlying liability covering on your insurance policy. It will also cover you against libel and slander. Because your umbrella policy goes into effect after your main coverage is exhausted, there are some limits that must be met in order to purchase it. Most insurers would like you to have around $250,000 worth of liability insurance on your auto policy and $300,000 worth of liability insurance on your homeowners' policy before you buy an umbrella policy.
